FootballMohamed Salah Missing, Mane to Start in Liverpool’s Predicted Line Up for Wolverhampton Showdown
- Liverpool vs Wolves will light up Anfield on the final day as the winner of the English Premier League will be crowned on Sunday
- Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are doubtful for the encounter in which Jurgen Klopp’s men will chase all three points, Team Talk reports.
- Wolves, on the other hand, will play the game without the services of Max Kilman, Nelson Semedo and Romain Saiss who are all injured
Liverpool host Wolves in their final Premier League game of the season and will hope to edge Manchester City to the title.
Quadruple-chasing Liverpool will hope Aston Villa do them a favour by beating Manchester City, but before then, they themselves have to win at Anfield.
Sports Mole reports that regardless of whatever happens on the final day and indeed next Sunday when they face Real Madrid in the Champions League final, the 2021-2022 season has been remarkable for the Reds.
They already have the EFL Cup and FA Cup in their cabinet; they still have the potential of winning two more titles this season, a feat no English club has achieved.
The final day is expected to be dramatic as strange things could happen but there are injury concerns for Jurgen Klopp.
Team News
Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, Fabinho, Joe Gomez are all injured and are doubtful for the encounter and Klopp has admitted that he would like to play all of them.
Although they could start from the bench, Salah who is just one-goal ahead of Son Heung-min in the Golden Boot standings could be left out.
Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane are all likely to start the encounter.
On the other hand, Wolves will play this game without Max Kilman (ankle), Nelson Semedo (hamstring) and Romain Saiss (knee) for this final game of the season, but all three should be ready in time for the start of next season - should Saiss remain beyond the end of his current deal.

Tottenham chase top 4 spot
Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that Norwich City’s last game in England’s topflight will see them welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Carrow Road.
The Canaries are bottom of the table and will be relegated at the end of the season, no matter what the other results are.
Tottenham need just a draw or a win to secure fourth place and the final Champions League qualification spot ahead of Arsenal.
