The match between Royal AM and Mamelodi Sundowns at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban will be a festive affair.
The champions will receive their DStv Premiership trophy after winning the championship for a fifth consecutive season. This also extended their staggering record in the Premier Soccer League era to 14 league titles.
Reportedly, the event will be marked by exciting entertainment throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Comedian Skhumba will be joined by musicians Big Zulu, DJ SPHEctacula and DJ Naves of the Kings Of The Weekend, and DJ PH to entertain what will be a jovial crowd.
Entertainers and sports joining hands is nothing new, but since the return of crowds to stadiums, musicians have sidled up to local football teams to get the entertainment industry moving in the right direction after the hardship brought on by Covid-19.

Incidentally, Royal AM, with their celebrity businesswoman owner Shauwn 'MaMkhize' Mkhize needs to win the game and hope that Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs lose so that they could finish as runners-up. This will book their place in next season's CAF Champions League.
