Everton fans stormed the pitch at the Goodison Park following a historic night which saw them come from two goals down to defeat Crystal Palace.
Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was in the thick of the action as the Toffees escape relegation, but they had to do it the hard way, Complete Sports reports.
Jean Mateta and Jordan Ayew gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at halftime which meant Everton could be relegated should they lose their final match at Arsenal on Sunday.
But the Toffees put up a sensational performance to come from behind and scored three un-replied goals to win the tie 3-2.
Jubilant Everton fans went wild as thousands stormed the pitch to celebrate with their players and manager Frank Lampard.
It didn’t take long before Iwobi went on social media to tweet:

The Nigerian international has three goals and three assists in 31 appearances for Everton this season and so far they are safe as they sit in 16th position in the Premier League with 39 points after 37 games.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira appeared to kick out at a supporter who looked to be goading him amid a pitch invasion by Everton fans on Thursday night.
In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, a supporter seemingly holding up a phone could be seen extending his arms toward the Vieira's face as he tried to leave the field.
