Italy and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti can't bear the thought of Kylian Mbappe departing the club at the end of the season.
Mbappe's current deal with the Parisians expires next month and despite several attempts made by the club to tie him down, it has proved abortive making his future uncertain.
The uncertainty surrounding his future was heightened when he was spotted in Madrid, fuelling reports of his proposed move to Real Madrid in the summer.
But one of his current teammates, Verratti wasn not happy with Mbappe's vacation in the Spanish capital stressing on the club's desire to keep the 23-year-old forward.
"We all want him to stay here," Verratti told Le Parisien as quoted by MARCA.
"But when I talk to him it's more for laughs. In soccer, when we have something in mind when a decision is close, we don't talk about it much. It's his decision, and I'm waiting for it, like you."
Verratti narrated how Mbappe's vacation in Madrid gave him a stomach ache only to realize the visit to Madrid was widely blown out of proportion.
"When I'm resting and I see notifications that say Kylian is in Madrid it gives me a stomach ache (laughs) although afterwards, I say to myself: relax, he was on vacation..."
