The Teranga Lions' friendly against Brazil, which had been scheduled for June 12 in France, has been cancelled over financial reasons.
According to 13 Football, the Brazilian national football team will be on tour in Asia within that same period and it will not be financially prudent to travel to Europe for the friendly.
Brazil will engage Chile and Japan in friendlies in June, while Senegal will face Benin and Rwanda in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Senegal national football team will have to find new opponents in the window, with Algeria reportedly interested in a game against the AFCON champions.
Senegal qualified for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar after beating Egypt in the play-offs. The African giants have been drawn in Group A of the World Cup alongside Qatar, Ecuador and Holland.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Neymar Jr was the highest bidder for the AFCON 2021 final ball at an auction held by Paris Saint Germain midfielder Iddrissa Gueye.
The Brazilian star, who joined his other teammates, including Kylian Mbappe, paid an amount of €160,000 for the ball used during the Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Egypt.
The money from the auction will be used for charitable purposes, including funding the care of HIV and cancer inflicted children in Africa.
