Incoming Man United boss Erik ten Hag has broken his silence over a possible summer swoop for Chelsea winger, Hakim Ziyech.
Ajax legend Marco van Basten recently urged Ten Hag to consider bringing the forward to Old Trafford to form part of his rebuilding plan.
Van Basten suggested that Ziyech could thrive under the Dutchman at the Theatre of Dreams, having previously worked together during their time at Ajax.
"What comes to my mind now is that I think Ziyech who already plays in England could be a very good footballer at Manchester United for Erik," Metro UK quoted Van Basten saying.

However, instead of delving into the subject of completing a swoop for Ziyech could be on the cards, Ten Hag played down transfer speculation as part of the job.
"Of course, this was already the case at Ajax," he said.
"You take that in and then you have to continue to work well with the dressing room and with people within the club. You have to analyse well and make the right choices," he added.
Hakim Ziyech's troubled Chelsea spell
Ziyech has not had the best of times at Stamford Bridge since his sensational switch to the Premier League in 2020.
The Moroccan has struggled to nail a regular role under Thomas Tuchel this term, with the Chelsea boss limiting him to just 12 Premier League 12 games this season.

Ten Hag keen to sign Chelsea midfielder
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Erik ten Hag has reportedly added N'Golo Kante to his summer transfer wishlist as he embarks on a squad rebuild at Old Trafford.
The new Man United boss is said to be keen to add Kante within his ranks after Fred and Scott McTominay struggled this season.
Kante has a year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and has previously been linked with potential moves to Real Madrid and PSG.
