Baroka FC are not going down without a fight.
The club are currently bottom of the DStv Premiership but are level on points with Swallows FC and two points behind TS Galaxy in the safe zone.
Caretaker coach Vincent Kobola is gearing up for the fight and insists that he is not scared or panicking, Daily Sun reported.
Kobola took over the reins of the club at the end of April and is undefeated in three games in charge.
Kobola has overseen two wins and a draw since taking over and had led Baroka to possible safety but doesn’t plan on stopping just there.
“We cannot go this far and fail at the final hurdle,” he said after the club beat SuperSport United in their final game.
Baroka beat SuperSport 3-1 thanks to two penalties by Bonginkosi Makume and a goal from Evidence Makgopa, IOL reported.
He added the future was now in their own hands if they wanted to survive the drop.
Kobola motivated his players by telling them to think about the fact that some of them were breadwinners and some were paying off cars or seeing to kids’ future but that they shouldn’t panic but instead focus on what is in front of them.
Baroka plays Maritzburg United in their final game on Saturday.
