The reigning English champions had a wobbly start to their meeting with the Hammers as they went two goals down after 45 minutes of action.

Jarrod Bowen was responsible for West Ham's opening goals as he found the back of the net in the 24th and 45th minutes.

The Englishman rounded off Ederson for the opener with a superb finish before he completed the double on the stroke of the first half.

However, Jack Grealish struck for the visitors four minutes after the re-start, and Vladmir Coufal headed the ball into his own net from Riyad Mahrez's free-kick.

City had a chance to score the winner at the death when they won a penalty, only for Mahrez to fluff the chance when he stepped up to take the spot-kick as the tie ended in a 2-2 draw.

The result now means the Citizens have to beat Aston Villa in their final match of the season to retain the title.
