Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has described reports that Napoli controls his social media accounts as fake news.
The 23-year-old took to his Twitter page to debunk the story after Italian news outfit La Republica reported that they studied the 45-page contract Osimhen signed in 2020 after his move from Lille.
In their findings, Osimhen agreed as part of the image rights clauses to hand over the password of his social media accounts, a report the Nigerian striker has vehemently dismissed.

FootballLa Republica also claimed that every of Osimhen’s social media posts had to be run through the Napoli directors and lawyers.
But few hours after the report, Osimhen wrote on his Twitter handle “Fake news,” as a response to the story.
His club Napoli also dismissed the report with a statement which read, “We would like to clarify that Victor Osimhen's social media accounts are run solely by the player himself.”
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Victor Osimhen has confirmed his readiness to remain at Italian giants Napoli for many years thereby snubbing a move to the Premier League in the summer.
There has been speculation surrounding the future of Victor Osimhen at Napoli with the Nigerian striker being linked with a move to Arsenal, Manchester United and even PSG.
