The Manchester outfit took yet a significant step towards retaining the English championship in midweek when they thrashed Wolves 5-1.

Match Preview

City are currently enjoying a three-point advantage on top of the standings, with Liverpool, who are their closest challengers for the title having a game in hand.

Pep Guardiola's charges will be hoping to go six points clear when they play West Ham at the London Stadium.

However, the Hammers will be no pushovers as they will be going into the match off a 4-0 epic win over the already relegated Norwich City.

Said Benrahma scored a brace during the clash, with Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio also finding the back of the net to keep West Ham's top-six hopes alive as the campaign enters its homestretch.

Team News

Man City will be without a host of players ahead of their trip to the capital, with the reigning English champions heavily depleted in defence.

Defenders Kyle Walker, John Stones and Ruben Dias have already been ruled out for the season, while the duo of Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho will be facing late fitness tests.

West Ham are facing similar injury concerns, with Benrahma and Angelo Ogbonna major doubts for the clash.

However, David Moyes has been handed a heavy boost after Michail Antonio and Craig Dawson were passed fit.

Possible starting XI

West Ham:

Fabianski; Coufal, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals; Antonio

Man City:

Ederson; Cancelo, Rodri, Ake, Zinchenko; Silva, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling

Mane consoles Mendy after FA Cup heartache

The Senegal talisman, who has been in red-hot form since the 2021 AFCON, wrapped up yet another trophy in the calendar year when his side, Liverpool, edged the Blues on penalty shootouts to clinch the Emirates FA Cup.

Amid the fanfare and celebration following Tsimikas' game-winning penalty, Mané took time out to console his international teammate Edouard Mendy, who was on the losing side.
