English Premier League giants Manchester United are close to signing Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong for a staggering €80 million.
Incoming manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on taking the Dutch star to the Old Trafford as they will hope to return the Red Devils to their glory days.
SPORTbible reports that Ten Hag had worked with De Jong at Ajax and helped the youngster develop into one of the very best midfielders in the world.
Journalist Gerard Romero claims the pair are set to be reunited - with Barcelona struggling to come to terms with their finances, selling De Jong to the Old Trafford club is almost sealed.
