Jose Mourinho certainly looks like a prophet to Manchester United faithfuls right now, years after disclosing the problems facing the Red Devils.
The Portuguese manager had bragged in 2019 that finishing second in the Premier League with the Red Devils was one of his best jobs as a coach but was faced with stiff criticisms from United supporters.
The 59-year-old manager had disclosed then that a lot goes on behind the scenes that prevent coaches from succeeding when in charge of the Old Trafford club.
According to a report via Sport Bible, Rio Ferdinand has now tendered an apology to Jose Mourinho for his comments, revealing the Portugal coach was right all along.
"I think Jose Mourinho ’s quote has aged so, so well. And me for one, I would apologise maybe to some extent in terms of the way you kind of looked at him and judged him."
Manchester United is at an all-time low, with the club on course to finish with the lowest Premier League points total ever.
