Division One club Tamale City FC were involved in a terrible incident after their game against Baffour Soccer Academy ended with players and officials of the club being attacked.
Fans of Baffuor Soccer Academy descended heavily on their visitors, pelting stones at their team bus and injuring several players and officials of Tamale City.
In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, some players and staff of Tamale City are seen with various injuries to their bodies.
The Tamale City FC bus was also vandalized but the team had to force its way out of the dreaded Twumasi Sports Complex in Nsoatre.
"We were subject to inhumane treatment at Nsoatre and our crime was just that we drew against Baffuor Soccer Academy. The dream is still alive! No form of intimidation can stop us!," wrote the club on Twitter.
The home side Baffour Soccer Academy opened the scoring in the first half of the game but Tamale City levelled in the second half to secure an important point on the road.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to react to the incident with officials from the game yet to release reports from the venue.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a referee of a Ghana Premier League game between Real Tamale United (RTU) and Aduana Stars was assaulted after the fixture on Sunday, viral social media videos have shown.

FootballCentral referee Emmanuel Adu Quansah and his assistants Courage Kuedufia and Jaspa Adenyo were victims on the day; after the top-flight game ended 1-1 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
On the matchday, RTU took the lead through Baba Kushibi in the 32nd minute but an Eric Kwakwa strike in the 71st minute gave the visitors a well-deserved point.
