The lack of killer instinct in the DStv Premiership continued as the draws were the order of the day.
Amazulu and Sekhukhune United drew 0-0 in Durban. The goalless draw was a record-extending 41st of the season in what might prove to be the lowest-scoring of the Premier Soccer League era.
Usuthu took another step towards participating in next season's MTN 8 tournament, sitting pretty in seventh place on 40 points. Sekhukhune mathematically confirmed their status in the top flight, remaining in 10th place on the table.
Marumo Gallants drew 0-0 with Golden Arrows in Polokwane. The goalless draw increased the record of blank matches to 42 this season. Gallants will be in the Premier Soccer League next season as they can't be relegated in 11th on 32 points. Arrows missed out on the chance of knocking SuperSport United out of the Top 8, remaining on ninth with 36 points.

FootballAt least Stellenbosch FC and Maritzburg United scored in a 1-1 draw in the Cape. Alfred Ndengane opened the scoring for the visitors in the 61st minute through a penalty, before Judas Moseamedi levelled matters just six minutes later.
The Maroons moved up to fifth place with 50 points, while the People's Team remained uncomfortably close in the relegation battle in 12th place on 28 points.
Another unusually high-scoring match occurred this weekend in the DStv Premiership.
As reported by Sports Brief, Chippa United and Baroka FC played out a highly entertaining draw at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Riaan Hamanub opened the scoring for Chippa United, before Dan Ndlovu equalised for Baroka FC in the 75th minute. Decide Chauke looked to have stolen the game for Bakgaga in the 83rd minute, but Thokozani Sekotlong's 91st-minute goal saved a point for the Chilli Boys.
