English Premier League giants Liverpool have unveiled their new home kit for the 2022/23 season.
According to the Champions League finalists, the new jersey is inspired by the attitude of ‘Scouse solidarity' and reflects the mentality of its people - one that makes Liverpool truly unique.
In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, defensive duo Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip are among the players who modeled the fresh Nike kit
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, and manager Jurgen Klopp also appeared in the promotional video.
The Reds also revealed on their club website that the reverse of the jersey features the 97 emblem, with the change from 96 to 97 in recognition of Andrew Stanley Devine, who died last year following long-term health problems as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.
'We're all so proud to wear the Liverpool FC jersey and be part of the swoosh family,' Henderson said at the unveiling as quoted by Daily Mail.
'We know exactly what this jersey means to our fans, and we can't wait to run out in it at Anfield.'
Liverpool will play Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris on May 28 after beating Villarreal 3-2 on Tuesday night and 5-2 on aggregate.
