  • Kamaldeen Sulemana has lamented about his injury ordeal which has kept him out of action since February
  • The speedster had a blistering start to life in France and is rated among the top dribblers in the French top-flightdribbles
  • Despite an injury setback, Sulemana is ranked the 11th best performing U-21 player in the World by CIES Football Observatory

Ghana and Stade Rennais attacker Kamaldeen Sulemana has bemoaned his niggling injury which has hampered his season.

The 20-year-old speed merchant joined the Ligue 1 outfit last summer and had a bright start to life in France.

But his promising start has been truncated by an injury he sustained in February which ruled him out of Ghana's World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.

Speaking to the club website, the ex-Nordsjaelland forward decried it has been a difficult moment for him, especially considering his brilliant start to the season in France after joining Stade Rennais.

“It’s difficult. There are up and downs. I’m happy when the team plays well and has results but it’s difficult not to take part and just watch games in front of the TV or just sitting in the stadium,” he said as quoted by Football Ghana.
“I’d like to be on the pitch and in the locker room doing what I know how to do and what I like to do. I cannot be satisfied. This is the first time I’ve been stopped for so long in my professional career." He decried
“I didn’t have a problem when I was in Denmark. This injury has lasted longer than expected. It’s a bit of a roller-coaster."
“At the start of the injury, after two weeks, I felt good. I thought I could be back soon. You start running again, you come back to the field, and there you feel the pain. Then you work hard again, you do whatever it takes to come back and the pains come back again,” he ended.

Kamaldeen suffers a potential season-ending injury

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is injured at Stade Rennes and had to forfeit their game against Troyes at the Roazhon Park on Sunday.

The 20-year-old suffered back pain, according to the club's head coach, and missed out on their 4-1 victory over Troyes in the French Ligue 1.

Sulemana's return is not clear yet but the club is confident that the enterprising winger will not be on the sidelines for a long period.
