FootballKaizer Chiefs Coach Arthur Zwane Believes He Has Plan in Place to Neutralise Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday

Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane believes he has a solution for the recently-crowned DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The two great rivals are set to collide at Soccer City on Sunday evening in the match of the round. The Brazilians defeated the Amakhosi 2-0 in the corresponding fixture last September, and also emerged victorious on penalties in their MTN 8 quarterfinal clash the month before.
With Chiefs looking to avoid a 3-0 whitewash by Sundowns for the season, Zwane said he had a plan in place for the unstoppable visitors. This comes after the Amakhosi defeated Marumo Gallants 1-0 in a morale-booster, having lost four matches on the bounce since sacking Stuart Baxter.
He told Kick Off:
"Sundowns are playing more or less a similar style [to Marumo Gallants] but they are more deadly and dangerous, because they’ve got good runners upfront. They have players like [Peter] Shalulile and other strikers, who can hold the ball and wait and have other players join in. That’s the difference between them, in terms of the quality.
"We are going to have to plan for them, like we planned for this one, and we will see how we can also exploit the space behind Sundowns defence, because we don't have those explosive players in our team at the moment."
Arthur Zwane urges Kaizer Chiefs players to remain disciplined as Amakhosi gear up for Mamelodi Sundowns game
Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane has warned his players about the dangers of ill-discipline.
As reported on Sports Brief, Zwane made the warning after two cases of ill-discipline rocked the Amakhosi team in recent weeks.
Njabulo Ngcobo first made headlines when he refused to shake Arthur Zwane’s hand after being subbed during a recent game. To make matters worse, Lee Baxter attempted to stop the player from walking away by pulling him back, leading to a tense situation.
