- Evra enjoyed a remarkable career with Manchester United and seems to have carried the Manchester derby rivalry to retirement
Manchester United legend Patrice Evra took jibes at Manchester City after they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League. Manchester City collapsed at the hands of Real Madrid to see their hopes of winning the Champions League evaporate into thin air.
Evra, a celebrated defender during his days, took to Instagram after the game to mock the City rivals. The French star photoshopped a picture of him and the legendary Sir Bobby Charlton.
The two are seen conversing with Evra asking Sir Charlton if he can see City’s name. Evra then goes ahead and captions the photo
How many years you think me and Sir Bobby will have to check? 1 5 90 years
The 40-year-old seems to have taken the Manchester rivalry to his retirement. He enjoyed a glorious career with the Red Devils winning the UEFA Champions League in 2008. He also won the Premier League five teams before moving to Juventus.
Manchester City suffered yet again in their latest attempt to win the Champions League. The Citizens have in the past invested heavily but have fallen short continuously in their pursuit of European glory.
Pep Guardiola has faltered time and time again at crucial stages. The closest they came to winning it was last season before they were beaten in the final by Chelsea. City have been eliminated by modest opposition like Monaco and Lyon as their despair continues.
On Wednesday, they looked finely poised to make it to the Paris final only for Real Madrid to engineer a comeback in the stoppage time.

FootballGuardiola has an African curse
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk had predicted that Pep Guardiola will never win the Champions League again.
Seluk said that African Shamans will never allow Guardiola to win after the unfair treatment he accorded Toure during his final year at Etihad.
The agent said that an African curse will follow Guardiola and only time will prove him right.
