Ghana midfielder to miss the rest of the Belgian Pro League due to injury
FootballChippa United Striker Eva Nga’s Move to Gauteng Might Still Be on Despite Kaizer Chiefs Disappointment
- In-demand Cameroonian striker Bienvenu Eva Nga's future might just be in Gauteng after all if rumours are to be believed
- The Chippa United striker was long believed to be on Kaizer Chiefs' radar following a great season in Gqeberha
- However, this deal reportedly failed to happen earlier this week, though he remains on the list of several teams, with one in the province
What was Kaizer Chiefs' loss could be another Gauteng team's gain when it comes to Chippa United striker Bienvenu Eva Nga.
Having long been linked to the Amakhosi, the Cameroonian player's apparent transfer to the club was reported to have fallen through earlier this week. He has been in good form down in Gqeberha, scoring 10 goals in 20 matches for the Chilli Boys thus far this season.
The South African reported that the move hit a roadblock, with Amazulu believed to have been in the process of hijacking the transfer. However, Kick Off has since stated that there is a high possibility that two teams have also now entered the race for his signature.
The article was vague about which teams in the province of Gauteng were in for Eva Nga. All it revealed was that "meetings were held last week when he travelled to Johannesburg", and that they would continue again on Thursday.
There is nothing standing in the way of Eva Nga leaving his current club, as his contract with Chippa will expire at the end of June. Though the deal with Chiefs supposedly did not materialise, Samir Nurkovic, Lazarous Kambole and Bernard Parker are set to depart the club in June as well.
This would leave the door for the Cameroonian to still join the club, considering the gap that will be left up front in terms of attacking options in front of goals.
