Kaizer Chiefs are looking to rebuild their squad in order to challenge for titles again but they’ve already hit a snag.
The Amakhosi are now set to miss out on a new signing, one that looked all but guaranteed to join the team.
As reported by Soccer Laduma, Chiefs were closing in on the signature of Bienvenu Eva Nga. The publication noted that the Cameroonian striker was on the verge of signing for the Amakhosi at that stage.
Now The South African have confirmed that the deal for the player has fallen through. This was confirmed by the player’s representative, Charles Domingoea.
“Yes, the deal is off, we couldn’t agree on personal terms and as things stand, it doesn’t look like Eva Nga will be going to Kaizer Chiefs as initially planned,” he said.
The publication also reported that AmaZulu have now entered the race for the player’s signature and looks set to hijack the deal.
Arthur Zwane recently admitted that there were a number of players at the club who were not good enough to play for the Amakhosi, Times LIVE reported. Zwane added that the club were looking to rebuild and bring in new players in order to return to their glory days.

Chippa United owner, Chippa Mpengesi, is understood to have agreed a deal in principle with Kaizer Chiefs for the player’s services. The Amakhosi are also belied to be interested in raiding Chippa United for Veluyeke Zulu. The defender has caught the eye of Chiefs’ scouts with his performances, Soccer Laduma reported.
