The Kaizer Chiefs coaching role is a certifiable hotspot at the moment, but despite that, many managers have been linked with the club.
Following Stuart Baxter’s sacking last month, numerous coaches have put their hands up and expressed interest in coaching the Amakhosi.
According to The Citizen, former Botswana nation coach Adel Amrouche is the latest manager to take over at the Naturena.
The Algerian was considered for the coaching role before, but the Amakhosi opted to go with Gavin Hunt at that stage. The Citizen noted that Amrouche was not in the current at present but would be arriving in South Africa during the course of the month. It is unclear why he will be in the country.
Former Al Ahly assistant manager Cavin Johnson also said he would be honoured to take up the coaching role if offered to him. Another familiar face who is keen on the job is Arthur Zwane. Zwane is currently in charge of the club, with Dillon Sheppard in an interim position.
As reported by The South African, Zwane has expressed interest in the role, saying that every coach wants to grow. Kaizer Motaung is also a fan of Arthur Zwane taking over.
“You will never be better if you are not in the thick of things. If the opportunity comes my way, I will take it,” Zwane said.
