Cristiano Ronaldo who recently tested positive for coronavirus has taken time to share inspiring message with his followers on social media.
The Juventus striker has returned to his base, Turin, having left the Portuguese national team a few days back after he was confirmed carrying the virus.
The-35-year-old is the only player from the team that returned positive result and he is now on ten day self-isolation.
“Don't let what you can't do stand in the way of what you can do,” he captioned a photo of himself sitting by the pool side.
Recall that he could only watch from an isolated apartment during Portugal’s UEFA Nations League clash with Sweden on Wednesday night, October 14.
The team captain tested positive for coronavirus about 24 hours earlier after another round of tests were conducted on all players in line with the UEFA guidelines in containing the spread.
He was in action on Sunday evening, October 11, when he captained his country to a 0-0 draw with reigning world champions France, but has been told to leave the squad.
He won’t be in action on Saturday, October 17, when Juventus play away at Crotone as the Serie A returns after the international break.
Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois has had his say regarding the better player between superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The Real Madrid goalkeeper has stated that both legends should not be compared, adding that the Portuguese captain is more athletic, while his Argentine counterpart is more naturally talented.
Courtois who spent 8 seasons at Premier League club Chelsea said both players have different talents and that the world can only enjoy their era.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that CR7's sister Katia Aveiro has labelled the outcome of the test as fraud, suggesting foul-play in the process. She further expressed disappointment at the way COVID-19 has been handled.
Although the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward is expecting another test result to be sure, he is however not showing any symptom of the infection.
Katia said on Instagram:
“If Cristiano Ronaldo needs to be the one to wake up the world, I have to say that this Portuguese is a predestined, someone sent by God. Thank you!!!"
