Cameroonian Football Federation president and Barcelona legend, Samuel Eto'o, has taken a quiet trip to Kenya with his family.
Eto'o took to Instagram to give his more than 6 million followers a glimpse of his trip to the East African country.
The legendary forward-turn football administrator shared a lovely photo of himself with four of his five children.
Clad in black pants which he complemented with matching sneakers, Eto'o and his family posed beside a private jet which had a sticker of the Kenyan flag on its door.
The 41-year-old revealed they have been spending their time in Malindi, a famous tourist destination in Kenya's coastal region.
"Merci Malindi. #familylove," Eto'o captioned the photo.
Fans taken by surprise with Samuel Eto'o's low-key trip to Kenya
Apparently, not many of Eto'o's fans in Kenya knew about his presence in the country.
The majority of them appeared to learn about his trip to the country from his Instagram post.
One said:
"Samuel Eto'o I am in Malindi Kenya. You came and left just like that. While I am there."
A second noted:
"Thank you for visiting and come again."
Another added:
"I hope you enjoyed your stay here."
Eto'o turns down salary as FECAFOOT president
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o has rejected the salary accorded to him as President of the Cameroon Football Federation.
The two-time AFCON winner has instead increased the remuneration package for the players in the men's and women's leagues.
He further warned club presidents to pay the salaries of local football players promptly, else he will pay them and deduct them from clubs.
