It was indeed a legendary night for Ghana's iconic striker Asamoah Gyan as he launched his book at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The book which is titled ‘LeGyandary’ chronicles the former Sunderland forward's early days and his rise to fame.
In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the former Sunderland striker was all smiles as he unveil his new book on Saturday night.
Ghana football heroes like three-time African footballer of the year Abedi Ayew Pele, former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, Anthony Baffoe, John Paintsil, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Yussif Chibsah and to mention a few, grace the occasion for the legend.
Other African football icons include 2001 African footballer of the year, El Hadji Diouf, Kalilou Fadiga and legendary Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 'LeGyandary' book was officially launched by Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo, who was the special guest of honour for the glamourous occasion.
Ghana's Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, and business mogul Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong purchased a copy of the book for GHC 100, 000 ($ 13, 158)
The 'LeGyandary' book details Gyan’s time with the Black Stars and the 7 AFCON tournaments and three World Cup campaigns he experienced with the team and many untold tales in his journey as a footballer.
It also contains a full, revealing, candid and detailed account of Gyan’s football career that took him from Ghana to Italy, France, England, the United Arab Emirates, China and India.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported that former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan will outdoor his memoir in a star-studded ceremony in Accra on April 30.
The event which will take place at the plush Kempinski Hotel will chronicle the journey of the striker as a professional.
The book will contain a full, revealing, candid and detailed account of Gyan’s football career that took him from Ghana to Italy, France, England, the United Arab Emirates, China and India.
