Ronaldo has already notched 23 goals this season across competitions, with 17 of those coming in the Premier League.

Despite penning a two-year deal on his return to the Theatre of Dreams last summer, reports suggest he could depart the club before the expiry of his contract owing to the ever-changing landscape at Man United.

Real Madrid keen on a reunion with Ronaldo

The Mirror reports Ronaldo's uncertain future with United has put Real Madrid chiefs on red alert, with the La Liga champions reportedly keen on a move.

According to the publication, Real are largely attracted by Ronaldo's performances this term and are certain he can keep up with that by playing within a better side.

Reports linking the Portuguese superstar with a return to the Santiago Bernabeu come at a time it is unclear which role the forward will play under new boss, Erik ten Hag.

The ex-Juve ace has been a mainstay figure under former manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Ral Rangnick who took charge in an interim capacity.

He followed up that landmark goal last Thursday when he found the back of the net against Chelsea to earn his side a hard-earned 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
