Mino Raiola, arguably the most famous football agent, has passed away aged 54.
News of his death was confirmed by his family on Saturday, May 30 in a statement from the agent’s family.
"In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent that ever was,” said the statement.
"Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realised it.
"Mino touched so many lives through his work and wrote a new chapter in the history of modern football. His presence will forever be missed.
A renown personality in football, Raiola has represented some high profile football stars including Paul Pogba and Erling Haaland.
Raiola’s health issues
Alarm bells over the Italian-Dutch’s health started ringing out in January 2021 when he was admitted in hospital for treatment of a lung disease.
At the time, a Twitter account linked to Raiola came out to claim that the hospital visit was for medical checks that required anesthesia.
Raiola's legacy
Mino Raiola will certainly go down as one of football’s most powerful agents.
He developed an infamous reputation of brokering some of the biggest football money moves involving several key players, both past and present.
Having gained prowess in several languages, including Italian and Dutch, Raiola got his first big break in 1993 when he was tasked with helping Dennis Bergkamp secure a move from Ajax to Inter Milan.
He has also represented other high profile stars such as Juventus legend Pavel Nedved and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

FootballAs reported by Sky Sport, at the time of his death, Raiola was ranked fourth by Forbes in the list of sports agents, after earning an estimated $84.5m earned in commissions and $847.7m in his players' contracts.
His decision to establish his own agency back in the day remains one of the best moves he made prior to his death.
