Cristiano Ronaldo and Nemaja Matic’s sons came together to recreate the Portugal star’s goal against Chelsea in an adorable video that is going viral.
Ronaldo was on target once again with his 17th goal of the season as he helped his United side salvage a 1-1 draw against Chelsea, who had taken the lead through Marcos Alonso.
Alonso’s strike came just at the hour mark, with the Spaniard volleying home a delightful goal to give Tuchel’s side a deserved lead.
But Chelsea’s celebrations at Old Trafford were short-lived as Matic found Cristiano Ronaldo moments later with a brilliant scoop above the defense.
Ronaldo expertly controlled the ball, before smashing it past Edouard Mendy to restore parity, and the game ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
Barely 48 hours and on Friday, April 29, the United players’ sons decided to try to recreate the magic their dads produced days earlier.
Young Matic FilIp dinked the ball above an adult for Cristiano Junior to latch onto to tuck the ball into an empty net.
It is kind to note that the two young boys are great friends.
As expected, the video garnered numerous reactions on social media, with fans saying it was wholesome to watch.
Matic to leave United at the end of the season
In mid April, Matic made a heartbreaking announcement as he disclosed he would be leaving United at the end of the season.
It was in 2020 that Nemanja Matic signed new deal at Manchester United under former manager Ole Solskjaer, but he has now decided to quit the Red Devils.
