Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is Britain’s richest man has finally indicated his interest in buying Chelsea and has made a late £4bn bid to buy the London club.

The 69-year-old businessman revealed the bid was submitted to the Raine Group early on Friday, April 29 as he hopes to succeed Roman Abramovich as the owner of the Blues.

According to a report via the Daily Mirror, Ratcliffe is not bothered about turning the Blues into a profit-making venture but rather he has the ambition to turn the Blues into a fine club.

“We put an offer in this morning. We are the only British bid.
“Our motives are simply to try and create a very fine club in London. We have no profit motive because we make our money in other ways.”

Chelsea has previously had three bids for the Blues all by Americans before Ratcliffe’s bid as the Blues finalize the process of naming a new owner of the London club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are in a race to beat the clock after the UK government cautioned the Blues on wasting too much time in naming a successor to Roman Abramovich.

According to Football London, Conservative Member of Parliament, Nadine Dorries revealed Chelsea is very much on borrowed time at the moment.

Consortiums led by Todd Boehly, Sir Martin Broughton, Steve Pagliuca, and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are all in a bidding war to determine who emerges as the new owners of the present Champions League winners.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported English Premier League giants Chelsea have received an outrageous £2.7bn offer from Saudi Media Group, according to stunning reports.

The Saudi Media Group has made the offer in a desperate move to take over from owner Roman Abramovich.

Mohamed Alkhereiji is said to be a staunch fan of the Stamford Bridge outfit as he leads a consortium with no direct links to the government.
