- Keane brandishes Rashford as an ‘immature kid’ for his recent performances for The Red Devils

Former Manchester United player turned pundit Roy Keane tore into Marcus Rashford for smiling ahead of their Premier League game against Chelsea. Keane launched a no-holds-barred on the Manchester United attacker calling him an ’immature kid.’
Keane has been critical of Manchester United’s performances in recent times. He has not been impressed by the constant lethargy and inconsistency that United have displayed on the pitch.
Manchester United and Chelsea drew 1-1 in the game. The result effectively ended United’s hopes of finishing in the top four, unless their rivals have a major slip up. That’s not entirely impossible but highly unlikely.
Underwhelming Rashford
Marcus Rashford had another off-colour night. He was handed a rare start by interim head coach Ralf Rangnick as the Red Devils' injury concerns persist. He was hardly involved in the game before he was substituted in the 79th minute for Juan Mata.
Metro UK reports that during the pre-match warm-up, the England international was seen smiling, and Keane could have none of it.
Every time I see him in the warm-up he is smiling or laughing. You are going to war. You are fighting for your future. Start smiling when you score a goal, or you do something that affects the game. Or gets people off their seats. Laughing all the time in a warm-up, come on.
Rashford has endured a very difficult campaign for the Red Devils. The 24-year-old has just four goals in 24 Premier League appearances. Jadon Sancho’s absence on Thursday forced Rangnick to play him from the start.

He has been linked faintly with a move away to Paris Saint Germain but no credible offers have been tabled yet. He will be keen on revitalising his United career under incoming manager, Erik Ten Haag.
Ronaldo to the rescue yet again
Sports Brief had earlier reported how Cristiano Ronaldo won a point for Manchester United against Chelsea. The Blues had gone ahead through a Marcos Alonso volley, but Ronaldo replied in kind to win a point for the besieged side.
