- Cavin Johnson has also been linked with the Kaizer Chiefs post and is honoured to be even considered for the post
The hunt for a new coach at Kaizer Chiefs continues, and numerous names have been linked to the post.
One former manager, who many think can achieve success at the club, has shot down the idea of a return to the Amakhosi.
Muhsin Ertuğral, who achieved great success while in charge of the club, has spoken out about calls for him to take up the post, iDiski Times reported.
Ertuğral has distanced himself from reports linking himself to the job, insisting that he needs to recharge his batteries for now and is not looking for a new job.
“I’m not interested. I must clarify that over and over again. I am not interested to take any job at the moment.
Ertuğral has been without a job since he left his post with the Turkish national team last year. He has since been living in South Africa, where he owns properties.
Ertuğral insisted that he was getting multiple offers for coaching roles but for the time being, he wanted to enjoy some time off from coaching.
Cavin Johnson is interested in the Kaizer Chiefs job
One name who has been linked to the job and who is interested in the role is Cavin Johnson. Johnson has been without a job since leaving his assistant coaching post at Al Ahly.
As reported by Goal.com, Johnson was thrilled to be even linked to the post.
“I will be honoured if I can be mentioned in the same sentence as such a huge brand as the Chiefs job,” Johnson said.

FootballInteresting possible candidates have emerged for the Kaizer Chiefs head coach position
Silly season has begun in earnest towards the end of the Premier Soccer League season. With sackings and appointments the order of the day, unlikely candidates are also linked to posts they usually wouldn't be.
According to SowetanLIVE, out-of-work Benni McCarthy is one of two candidates been suggested for the vacant Kaizer Chiefs head coach position after Stuart Baxter was sacked yesterday, Sports Brief reported.
The other is interim coach Arthur Zwane, who will lead the Amakhosi in their remaining seven matches of the DStv Premiership. McCarthy was fired by Amazulu over a month ago and had already been linked to the Orlando Pirates gig where Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids are the temporary co-coaches.
