Ardent Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan, has urged Arsenal to make a summer move for Manchester United attacker, Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Morgan, the Gunners need to capitalise on the veteran striker's situation at Old Trafford to make the transfer happen.
The TV host believes Ronaldo is less appreciated at the Theatre of Dreams and he would be better off playing at Arsenal next season.
Morgan backs Ronaldo to help Arsenal get to the top
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, the celebrated British journalist noted that Ronaldo could the icing on the cake on Arsenal's young and aggressive squad.
He added that the 37-year-old is the ideal player who has all it takes to solve the Gunners' striking challenges, revealing he has personally reached out to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner over a possible transfer.
“Do you know what I’d do if I was Arsenal manager? I’d go in, get Cristiano Ronaldo and put him upfront. I’ve had this conversation with him last week. I said ‘come to Arsenal’," Morgan revealed.
“I’m not even joking. I’d love to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Arsenal. If he’s not going to stay at United, I’d take him in a heartbeat," he added.
