Arsenal arrest poor run of form at Stamford Bridge
However, Mikel Arteta's charges arrested their poor run during their trip to Stamford Bridge as they bagged three precious points away from home.
Eddie Nketiah was the man of the moment for the north Londoners as he scored a brace to inspire his side to a thrilling win.
Bukayo Saka and Smith-Rowe were also on target for Arsenal, with Timo Werner and Cesar Azpilicueta scoring Chelsea's consolation.
Thomas Tuchel blames pitch for Chelsea loss
Tuchel has now bizarrely laid the blame on the Stamford Bridge pitch for his side's defeat.
According to the German tactician, his players found it "very, very difficult" to play on their own turf.
"To say that the pitch is difficult to play here is maybe sounds like an excuse but it is a very, very difficult pitch that we have here," Tuchel told reporters via Metro UK.
"It is not to our favour. The ball bounces very, very awkwardly in front of Andreas [Christensen] when he wants to play this ball," he added.
The result leaves Chelsea in third, while Arsenal remain fifth with 57 points - on level with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
