Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have qualified for the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League after beating Istiklol 3-0 on Tuesday night, 19 April, in which Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo scored brace.

Odion Ighalo and his teammates at Al Hilal are now the first side to qualify for the Asian Champions League round of 16.

Playing in front of their fans, Istiklol players started the Champions League encounter against Al Hilal impressively, but they lost concentration after the first five minutes of the game.

When did Odion Ighalo score first and second goal?

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo opened scoring for Al Hilal in the 8th minute and the former Manchester United star got his brace in the 33rd minute.

Al Hilal dominate proceedings in the second half and Ighalo could have grabbed a hat-trick in the 56th minute when he jumped once again to meet another cross, but he missed scoring.

Salem scored the third goal for Al Hilal at the death for them to record comfortable win over their opponents.

Super Eagles will face Mexico and Ecuador in May in international friendly games and Odion Ighalo is expected to lead the attack.
