Jose Mourinho set to sign Nemanja Matic

Mourinho has reportedly inched closer to bringing Matic to Roma, with the Sun claiming the Serbian has entered contract talks with Roma to make the deal happen.

This would be the third time Mourinho will be signing Matic, having previously signed him for Chelsea back in 2014.

The Portuguese boss later in 2017 snapped him from the Blues after he was hired by the Red Devils.

Matic is understood to match Mourinho's preference for reliable team players and wants to add him to his ranks at Roma.

The former Chelsea boss has never hidden his admiration for Matic and even took some time to pay tribute to him after his recent announcement.

"Proud to be part of your history," the Special One commented on the midfielder's post.
