Manchester United has been rocked with the heartbreaking news that Bruno Fernandes has been involved in a car accident on his way to training on Monday, April 18.
Fernandes had featured for the Red Devils in their Premier League 3-2 victory over Norwich as United continue their chase for the top-four finish in the league.
According to a report via Sky News, it is believed the 27-year-old and other passengers in the vehicle have not suffered serious injuries.
Manchester United are yet to comment on the incident but it is expected manager, Ralf Rangnick will brief the press later on Monday on the issue.
The Portugal international is still expected to train with the rest of the Manchester United squad as they prepare for their crunch Premier League encounter against Liverpool.

According to Daily Mirror, the 27-year-old has scored a total of 49 goals and also won the “Player of the Month” award in the EPL four times in his first year.
Fernandes has scored a total of 9 goals in 30 appearances for Manchester United this season and is expected to play a key role if the Red Devils are to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Fernandes has been a key player for the Red Devils since joining from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, scoring 49 goals and providing 39 assists in 117 appearances.
However, United need him to improve on his indifferent form this season if the club are to improve on their current sixth position in the Premier League.
