Maradona - son of Argentina, hero of Naples

Highly regarded as the greatest-ever footballer to have graced the sport, Diego Maradona spent his most successful club stint in southern Italy, Naples.

Nicknamed "El Pibe de Oro" (The Golden Boy), Maradona played for Napoli between 1984 and 1991, where he won two Serie A titles and the UEFA Cup, as well as the Coppa Italia.

Owing to his achievement in his seven-year stint at Napoli, Maradona is deemed as a hero of the city and his sudden death in 2020 aged 60, brought unconsolable tears to the city of Naples just as it brought heartbreak to his native Argentina.

Football fans in Argentina want Maradona's heart in Qatar

Argentine football lovers have launched an unusual campaign for the heart of the late Diego Maradona to be taken to Qatar 2022 World Cup as means of support for the national team.

Football fraternities in the world were in November 2020 thrown into deep mourning following the demise of soccer great Diego Maradona who died at a rented house in Argentina.

There were reports that the former footballer suffered heart attack before he passed on and investigations about his death is still said to be ongoing.

Samuel Eto'o reveals difference between Mourinho and Pep Guardiola

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Samuel Eto'o is one of the few elite players to have been tutored by Spanish manager Pep Guardiola and Portuguese trainer Jose Mourinho in his career.

The 41-year-old former Barcelona and Inter Milan star won the UEFA Champions League under both managers, first with Pep Guardiola in 2009 and in 2010 with Jose Mourinho.

And despite being successful under both coaches, Eto'o revealed there is a thin line of difference between the two gaffers.
