The Portuguese talisman netted a sensational hat-trick during the clash, including a sublime free-kick in the 75th minute which earned United the three points.

Man United to pay Cristiano Ronaldo huge bonuses after a successful season

The Sun reports the five-time Ballon d'Or winner hit two bonuses after his fine display against the Canaries.

The bonuses were agreed upon on his second return to Old Trafford last summer from Italian side, Juventus.

According to the UK publication, Ronaldo's three goals against Norwich took his tally to 21 goals for the season, which earned him an eyewatering £750,000.

It was reportedly agreed the former Real Madrid star would pocket the bonus if he got to 20 for the season.

Ronaldo set for more bonuses

Remarkably, the 37-year-old is now set to earn a further £100,000 bonus for every goal he will score past the 20-goal mark - as such, he pocketed a total of £850,000 on Saturday.

But it does not stop there as the striker will also get around £1m should he finish as the Red Devils’ top scorer this season.

He is already in line to hit that milestone as he is the only United star who has hit double figures thus far this term.

Ronaldo, Elanga in double 'Siu' celebration

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cristiano Ronaldo was the man who took centre stage during Man United's clash with Norwich at Old Trafford.

However, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner could not have done it without Anthony Elanga who set him up for his first goal of the match.

And in a kind gesture, Ronaldo invited the Man United youngster to copy his iconic 'Siu' celebration.
