In the famous Italian city, Rome, there are two big clubs which both have massive histories. AC Milan and Inter Milan have a rivalry that dates back to the old times. Despite the rivalry, some players played for Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Usually, cross-city rivals don't do too much business together. Still, the two northern Italian sides have exchanged players who had either little cameos or prolific careers with the other team.

15. Hernan Crespo

Inter signed Argentinian football coach and former player Hernan Crespo in 2002 to fill Ronaldo's void. Despite AC’s infamous Champions League final defeat to Liverpool, in which they failed to win the competition, he scored twice.

Mario Balotelli was a star at Inter under Roberto Mancini from 2007 to 2010, where he had a brief but explosive three-year stint before joining Manchester City.

When Vieira moved to AC in 1995, he made just two first-team appearances before leaving the club a year later.

Vieira was acquired by Inter in 2006 for a low price after the club's Serie B relegation and subsequent scandals surrounded Juventus in the early 2000s.

Clarence Seedorf was once an Inter player. He joined the club in 1999. Although he impressed, Seedorf could not help the club win any trophies and went for AC in 2002. There, he flourished and added two more Champions Leagues to his tally.

As of January 28, 2011, Inter and Pazzini had reached an agreement worth €19 million, while Jonathan Biabiany had signed for €7 million in a four-and-a-half-year contract.

It was less than a year since Pazzini returned to AC from Inter in exchange for Antonio Cassano and €7.5 million in compensation on August 22, 2012.

9. Christian Vieri

Inter won the Coppa Italia in 2004/05 with the striker known as 'Bobo', who has won trophies with four different Italian clubs. In the FIFA World Cup, he and Roberto Baggio and Paolo Rossi are Italy's all-time leading goal scorers, with nine goals in nine games.

Unfortunately, he only scored two goals in 14 appearances for AC Milan in all competitions during his time there. Nevertheless, Vieri is one of the legendary Inter Milan players.

8. Giuseppe Favalli

Lazio legend Giuseppe Favalli has won seven trophies during his 12-year stint in Rome. Inter signed him on a free transfer in 2004 when he was 32 years old. During his second stint with the club, he won four more trophies, including his second Serie A championship.

Three further trophies, including a Champions League and a FIFA Club World Cup, were won in 2006 when he joined AC. However, he was primarily utilised as a substitute.

7. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Inter snapped up Zlatan Ibrahimovic following Juventus' demise in 2006 and enjoyed the fruits of his labour until 2009 when he was sold to Barcelona.

His falling out with Pep Guardiola resulted in him joining AC Milan on loan in 2010/11, a deal that became permanent a season later. He returned to AC Milan in 2019.

Baggio is a well-known player who played for Inter for two seasons and was a key member of their success. While playing for Juventus, he rose to become one of the best players in the world.

After completing five brilliant seasons with Juventus, Roberto Baggio signed a contract with the Italian club AC. He is one of the players that have played for Inter Milan and AC Milan.

5. Edgar Davis

Edgar Davis is a well-known combative and creative midfielder who plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy. After making his first professional move to Juventus, where Marcello Lippi managed him, he began to garner attention.

In 2004, he signed a contract with Inter, where he primarily served as a replacement. The end of his contract with Inter resulted in his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in August of 2005. He is one of the most famous Inter Milan players

4. Francesco Coco

Francesco Coco was a member of both Inter and AC Milan, where he made significant strides forward. However, his failure to become Italy's finest back left after undergoing back surgery prompted him to blame Inter for his failure to achieve that status.

In addition to Taribo West, he is the second African to have played for both Milan clubs in the same season. At Inter, he helped the team win the Champions League and Serie A titles in 2009/2010.

He joined Inter from Fratton Park in the summer of 2008 and has played for them since. In 2011, he signed a deal with Sunderland. However, he later returned to Internazionale in May of that year. In January of 2012, he was assigned to AC Milan temporarily.

2. Andrea Pirlo

Andrea Pirlo, like Seedorf, failed to win a trophy during his time at Inter, but he quickly made up for the lost time when he joined AC Milan following his transfer in 2001. As a result, he is among AC Milan's most famous players.

Ten trophies were won during his ten-year spell at the club, including two Serie A crowns and two Champions Leagues. He went on to have even more success at Juventus, and he was also a significant member of Italy's World Cup-winning squad in 2006.

Ronaldo signed with Internazionale in 1997 for a then-world-record cost of $80 million. He stayed there for five years and even went on to win the Ballon d'Or in the process. However, injuries caused him to lose his playing career in the early stages.

After eleven years, he was approached by AC Milan and presented as a somewhat tired but still brilliant player.
