Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that striker Romelu Lukaku has picked fresh injury and the Belgian striker is now a doubt for the Champions League return leg at Real Madrid.

To the disappointment of the Stamford Bridge fans, Chelsea suffered 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash.

French striker Karim Benzema was the man of the match as he scored hat-trick against the Blues in front of their faithfuls.

As things stand, Chelsea will have to raise their game at the Santiago Bernabeu and score goals for a chance to reach the semifinal of the Champions League.

According to the report on GOAL, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Romelu Lukaku is nursing an injury and could be left out of the squad.

Werner, Mount Score Brace as Chelsea Destroy Southampton in Premier League Battle

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, 9 April, returned to winning ways beating hosts Southampton 6-0 in a Premier League encounter in which Timo Werner scored a brace for the Blues.

Having lost their last two games against Brentford and Real Madrid, Chelsea players knew that beating Southampton would boost their morale and they did themselves lots of good by winning.

The home team started the battle unimpressive and it took Chelsea only eight minutes to score their first goal.

Marcos Alonso opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 8th minute before Mason Mount doubled the lead for the Blues in the 16th minute for the Stamford Bridge landlords.

Timo Werner scored the third goal for Chelsea in the 21st minute and got his brace in the 49th minute before Mason Mount got his own brace in the 54th minute.

Kai Havertz also scored a goal for Chelsea in this encounter as the Blues recorded a perfect win.
