Liverpool have won the race to sign high-rated teenage sensation, Fábio Carvalho.
Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, has been a fan of the 19-year-old and has tried to sign him in the past.
Liverpool were on the verge of signing the Portuguese talent during the January transfer window, but the deal fell through at the last minute. The reason given for the failed transfer was due to issues with the paperwork.
Renowned Italian sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has now confirmed that Liverpool finally have their man. Taking to his Twitter account, Romano said that the deal agreed was a £5 million fee plus £2.7m in add ons. He also added that a medical was done and that the deal would only be announced in May.
Recently Sports Illustrated announced that Liverpool were closing in on three signings, including Carvalho. The Reds were also looking at bringing in Celtic's Ben Doak, a 16-year-old winger Trent Kone-Doherty from Derry City. The 15-year-old is considered to be one of the Republic of Ireland's biggest prospects.
Take note that Carvalho’s signing is yet to be confirmed by the club itself.
Liverpool boss Klopp says Man City match no title-decider
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has warned against viewing Sunday's match with Manchester City as a decider for the Premier League title, Sports Brief earlier reported.
Victory at the Etihad Stadium would give Liverpool an 11th successive league win and leave them two points ahead of City at the top of the table with seven games left to play.
But even if they succeed against City, there is no guarantee Liverpool will have a smooth finish to the season, with a derby against Everton and a clash with bitter rivals Manchester United to come before the end of this month.
