One Wigan fan had fellow supporters in stitches when he showed how eager he was to help his team out.
Dressed in a complete goalkeeper’s kit, with the number 69 on the back, the fan was ready to be called up for action when Ben Amos went down injured.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper went down during the game, requiring treatment on-field by the physios.
This prompted the fan to start warming up, getting ready in case he was needed.
Supporters in the stands recorded the man warming up, a video which has got the footballing community in stitches, GiveMeSport reported.
Drawing applause and support from his fellow fans, the makeshift goalkeeper started to do a lap in the stands, earning more cheers from other supporters.
The hilarious incident took place during Wigan Athletic’s game against Accrington Stanley. Wigan regained the lead of League One by beating Accrington Stanley 3-0, BBC reported.
The fan’s enthusiasm didn’t end during the game though, he was also spotted after the game showing great spirit. He could still be seen cheering his side on and showed that he had plenty of stamina to have probably played a 90-minute game.

Kouame waited for the 16-year-old Ankrah to approach him at the net for the customary handshake, before slapping him with his left hand as the latter reached out.
Twitter user @Kwesi_Gibson tweeted a video of the smack, which drew gasps from the shocked onlookers. The user then followed it up with another video of unknown individuals grabbing and punching one another, while one of them ran after a fleeing Kouame, before the video ended abruptly.
