- Neymar issued an interesting response to the claims after a superb performance for PSG against Lorient
Parts Saint Germain superstar Neymar has taken to Instagram to brilliantly respond to claims that he shows up to training drunk.
As Sports Brief reported, Neymar, Messi Kylian Mbappe were all on the scoresheet at the same time for the first time in PSG colours as the French giants sank Lorient in a Ligue 1 game.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side defeated the relegation-threatened side 5-1 to move a step closer to securing the Ligue 1 title, with Neymar exhibiting his class in that game.
The Brazilian scored twice and was instrumental in some of the other goals in what was a perfect clap back to his critics in recent weeks.
On Monday, April 4, Neymar shared his goal on his social media with a cheeky caption, seemingly responding to journalist Daniel Riolo.
It was Riolo who, several days ago, wrote a scathing piece, claiming Neymar was a liability at Paris Saint Germain.
"Neymar hardly trains anymore, he arrives in a sorry state, almost drunk," Riolo told RMC Sport, via Marca,
"That's the way it is, Neymar is in a spirit of revenge against PSG.”
Neymar’s rejoinder
In response, Neymar, via his Instagram stories, seemingly laughed off the claims with words of his own.
“It was ‘drunk’, that’s why it worked…as they say around there.” Neymar said in reference to his superb goal against Lorient.
Recently, PSG also reacted to Riolo’s claims by saying the club does not respond to “fake news”.
During the intenational break, Neymar’s international teammate Lucas Paqueta also came to his defence, slamming Riolo for a “total lack of respect”.

Football"It's a total lack of respect, to say or transmit information that is false,” Paqueta said during the international break. “Obviously, he (Neymar) didn't comment on that, I believe it's a lie.” Pacqueta said.
Ronaldinho in tears during NBA game
Elsewhere, another talented Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho, was reduced to tears after being given a warm reception during his visit of Canada
The former Barcelona man was in tears as he received a warm welcome by NBA fans during the game between the Raptors and Miami Heat in Toronto.
In a video posted on Twitter, Ronaldinho was presented with a Raptors jersey as he took pictures with some of the game's best, Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler.
