  • Chris Broome and his son have three times missed watching Cristiano Ronaldo live despite making trips
  • The proud father noticed his 12-year-old son is a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and promised to make his watch the Portuguese live
  • But the three times they have tried to see the Portugal international have not been successful as Ronaldo did not play

Chris Broome has explained how he has spent £3,000 for his 12-year-old son Zac to watch Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo play live, but the Portugal international missed all the games.

Zac is said to have picked Cristiano Ronaldo as his idol as he loves the Man United star's styles of play on the pitch for club and the national team.

The love Zac has for Cristiano Ronaldo is awesome and this made his father promise him that he would make sure he watches his idol live in the stadium.

But according to the report on UK Sun, Chris Broome has taken his son to the stadium three times and they were unable to see Cristiano Ronaldo play live.

When did Chris and son miss the chance to watch Ronaldo?

In 2020 he paid £1,550 to watch Ron at Juventus but the ace was rested.

In March Chris spent £1,500 on hospitality and hotels for the Manchester derby which Ronaldo, 37, missed through injury.

And despite free tickets for Man Utd v Leicester on Saturday, Ronaldo was missing again.

Chris Broome's reaction

“It’s costing an arm and a leg.
"I promised Zac I will take him to see Ronaldo play, so I’ll make that happen come what may.”

Rooney names two top Man United stars club should axe after poor season

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Wayne Rooney has said Man United should consider parting ways with Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba.

The Man United legend's suggestion came amid the club's ongoing struggles this term that will see them end the season without a trophy.

The Red Devils are also in danger of missing out on a top-four finish, with Arsenal, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur currently ahead of them on the log.

Rooney has now said it is about time United consider parting ways with some of their veteran players like Pogba and Ronaldo.

According to the Derby County boss, axing the duo from the team would allow United to progress.
