Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney's season could be over after he suffered a knee injury during international duty.

The Scotland international is understood to have reported back to the Arsenal camp with an issue that will likely keep him out for some time.

Tierney played the entire 90 minutes of Scotland’s friendly matches against Poland and Austria

And according to The Sun, the former Celtic star is now set to miss the better part of Arsenal's push to qualify for the Champions League and Scotland’s upcoming crunch World Cup play-off semi-final against Ukraine.

Kieran Tierney misses Crystal Palace clash

Tierney was a conspicuous miss from Arsenal's squad that took on rivals Crystal Palace on Monday night, April 4, at Selhurst Park.

Speaking of his exclusion, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta revealed the Scottish star is battling with a knee problem that he suffered while with the Scotland national team.

While Arteta did not reveal the intensity of the injury, he admitted it does not "look good."

“He came back from international duty and felt something wrong in his knee," The Sun quoted Arteta saying.
"There is some damage there. We will hopefully know more on Tuesday but not looking good," the Spaniard added.
