According to a report via the Daily Mail, the youngster is expected to be immediately loaned to City’s sister club Troyes in the French Ligue 1.

This is due to the fact that Henry Oware will not be eligible to play in England at the moment due to the strict points system for overseas players imposed by the FA.

Arsenal and Barcelona are two other clubs thought to have been interested in signing the young defender before Mancity hijacked the deal.

Five substitutions rule does not give Manchester City an advantage

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has insisted that the recent increase in the number of substitutions allowed in the Premier League does not give Manchester City an unfair advantage.

According to Fan Nation, the Premier League confirmed the reintroduction of the five substitutions rule from the 2022/23 season on Thursday, March 31.

Guardiola believes the new rule is healthy for the players as the Spaniard says the change allows for managers to rotate more players to make them remain fresh.

Manchester City defender aims brutal dig at local rivals

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Aymeric Laporte did not hold back in his criticism of his team’s rivals as he claimed his side is superior to Liverpool in all areas this season.

Ahead of the resumption of the Premier League this weekend, Laporte took some time to reflect on his team’s campaign so far as well as Manchester City’s biggest rivals.

With a handful of games to go this season, it is hard to call who will win the Premier League as it is a neck-to-neck battle between Manchester City and Liverpool.
