English Premier League outfit Manchester United are closing in on appointing a new manager after interviewing PSG’s Mauricio Pochettino for the plum job ahead of the coming season.

The Argentine tactician has been officially poached about taking on the role when this current season ends.

Mirror reports that Pochettino was interviewed earlier in the week, as it comes days after the club had a discussion with Ajax boss Erik ten Hag as part of the ongoing process to appoint a new permanent manager this summer.

It is believed that Ten Hag is positioned as the favourite, but Manchester United officials will ensure to interview all applicants before the final decision is made.
