President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo met with the Black Stars for the first time after qualifying for the World Cup.
The president was presented with the best possible birthday gift when the Black Stars secured qualification during his 78th birthday on Tuesday, March 29.
The feat attained by the Black Stars was largely celebrated by the entire Ghanaian populace including the president, who called the team to congratulate them.
In a post on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, players, as well as the technical team, were beautifully clad in a white Polo shirt at the Jubilee House - the seat of the presidency.

The second half was largely uneventful as the Black Stars showed character and hunger as they prevented the Super Eagles from creating any meaningful opportunity to turn around the tie.

The four-time African champions sealed qualification to the World Cup after a 1-1 draw in Abuja against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the players and the entire management team arrived in the middle of the night to a rapturous welcome.
