Tension in Nigeria As Supporters Demand Football Federation Apologizes to Former Super Eagles Coach

The Nigerian Football Federation has been asked to tender an apology to the former coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr by Nigerians the Punch reports.

The three-time African champions had failed in their attempt to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after they were stunned by Ghana in the play-offs.

Fans have now taken to social media to lambast the Nigerian Football Federation's decision to sack Gernot Rohr.

Another supporter, Tmmy Leyin is of the opinion Gernot Rohr would have delivered the World cup ticket.

The Super Eagles had played a goalless draw in the first leg tie in Kumasi and needed to avoid a score draw or a loss to qualify for a fourth consecutive World Cup.

The Black Stars would however seal qualification to the biggest football showpiece after playing a 1-1 draw at the Moshood Abiola Stadium to the dismay of many Nigerian supporters.
