Legendary Cameroonian striker Roger Milla celebrated the World Cup scalp achieved by the Indomitable Lions on Tuesday night.
Milla, who became a global sensation following his heroics at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, could not hide his joy as the Indomitable Lions stole a march on Algeria.
In a post on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Roger Milla congratulated Rigobert Song's men for the qualification.
Milla's Cameroon were staring elimination and heartbreak in the face when they suffered a painful one-nil loss to Algeria in the first leg.
However, a perfect blend of dogged and brave performances from Song's men ensured the five-time African champions sealed their eighth qualification for the FIFA World Cup.
Stand-in captain Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting broke the game's deadlock after 22 minutes to silence the vociferous home crowd in Blida to level the score on aggregate.
With the game locked at 1-1 on aggregate, extra time beckoned and when Algerian defender Ahmed Touba netted in the 118th minute, it appeared the Fennec Foxes were on the cusp of a World Cup berth but Karl Toko Ekambi's last-gasp goal ensured it was Cameroon who grabbed one of Africa's five tickets instead of the Algerians.
