Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has explained that the Blues have had great results even without their top scorer Tammy Abraham so far this season.
Abraham has fallen down the pecking order at the Stamford Bridge since the arrival of the German tactician who took over from Frank Lampard.
Tuchel prefers Kai Harvertz and Timo Werner to play in the club’s attack most times, while Olivier Giroud also gets minutes.
Tuchel told reporters, as per GOAL.
“The squad has played very well without him, we've had a lot of results without him. Now we're in the decisive part of the season where it's not so easy to bring players who are injured into the shape.
"We have a full squad now. We have 22 players on the training pitch and it's very, very hard to select the 18 players for Premier League matches.
"We can only change three times but in the offensive position, it is always part to have a huge impact in only some minutes."
Meanwhile, following his loan move to Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa in January, Chelsea star Danny Drinkwater has stated that he still has unfinished business with the Blues.
The former Leicester City midfielder left Stamford Bridge just before Frank Lampard was ousted by the Chelsea board and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
Since leaving the Foxes in 2017, Drinkwater has only managed to play 28 matches in total as his career has been plagued with several off-field issues.
And the former Leicester City star Drinkwater hopes to impress the new Chelsea manager, believing he could still have a future at the club.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has sent a huge message to goalkeeper and team-mate Kepa Arrizabalaga following their earlier bust-up during a training session.
The pair had to be separated by team-mates during their training session on Easter Sunday, although they seem to have settled their differences.
Ben Chilwell and Kurt Zouma jokingly demonstrated Antonio Rudiger training ground row with Kepa.
